Are we Listening to Nature's Warning?

Spotted this uprooted tree during my trip to Andaman Islands…

The entire island is covered with endless flora. At certain places you can even spot trees that date back to several hundred years. And then, there were the sights of destruction caused by the Tsunami in Indian Ocean that occurred in 2004.
While driving towards Mayabandar (another island in Andaman) witnessed vast agricultural lands being abandoned by the farmers due to increase in salinity of the soil. Witnessed abandoned huts, villages and endless uprooted trees. The island being so beautiful, these images kept lingering on my mind for a long time.
Everyday we are inventing new things and slowly are becoming dependent more machines than ourselves. Have we ever thought where all this progress and development is going to lead us?
With the frequent earthquakes, Tsunamis and other natural Calamities, the nature is giving us nothing but the warning signals of the Apocalypse that’s awaiting us…

  1. Well said. problem is man is trying to dictate nature..but..alas..nature wont give in..it is supreme bcoz it created it.perhaps..nature is contemplating destroying the demon it created...but when ? still there is time, let's mend ourselves and go back to its cradle for good...
