An empty mind is Crafter's workshop

I have always been fond of crafts and other arty stuff. Unfortunately due to other priorities in life never got much time to explore that horizon.
Currently, I am free and do not have much to do at work. So what do I do for all the 9 hours in office...? I have started searching for various craft ideas. Each day I look for something new and just keep on searching on the net. I guess even one day google will come up saying Stop Searching my dear and do something yourself... ha ha ha

Am trying to lose some weight

A lot of us take care of our health and figure before marriage. But somehow, it takes a backseat as soon as you get married. I was very careful about my diet and my health when I was a spinster. Every time I went to a restaurant I made sure that I am working out enough to compensate for the calorie intake. But all this changed as soon as I got married. I didn't feel guilty for overeating, while relishing on junk food... And before I realised, I had touched 92 Kilos...

I have taken a resolution now, I am gonna watch what I eat and gonna take care of my health just like before...

Are we Listening to Nature's Warning?

Spotted this uprooted tree during my trip to Andaman Islands…

The entire island is covered with endless flora. At certain places you can even spot trees that date back to several hundred years. And then, there were the sights of destruction caused by the Tsunami in Indian Ocean that occurred in 2004.
While driving towards Mayabandar (another island in Andaman) witnessed vast agricultural lands being abandoned by the farmers due to increase in salinity of the soil. Witnessed abandoned huts, villages and endless uprooted trees. The island being so beautiful, these images kept lingering on my mind for a long time.
Everyday we are inventing new things and slowly are becoming dependent more machines than ourselves. Have we ever thought where all this progress and development is going to lead us?
With the frequent earthquakes, Tsunamis and other natural Calamities, the nature is giving us nothing but the warning signals of the Apocalypse that’s awaiting us…

Speed Thrills, But Kills...

In the last month, there have been quite a number of deaths due to bike accidents in Mumbai... Reason? SPEED. Buying technologically advanced Sports bikes and showing them off on the road has become a trend these days. So many time I have seen them, riding in high speed, not caring about the traffic on road but most importantly not caring about their own Lives...
Recently while going to work, witnessed an accident... Could not sleep for a few days after looking at the entangled dead bodies of the two youngsters who had died in this accident.
Only one thought was disturbing me... what trauma their families may have gone through after looking at their smashed bodies...What did these youngsters get out of this useless showoff of their bikes apart from Losing their own lives?
It is correctly said that "Speed Thrills but Kills"...

No Money No Honey

How important is money in our life? It is true that Money can’t buy everything but this is as true as the fact that Money can buy a lot of things for you. In most of our movies, a rich girl always stays happily married with the poor Boy. This has inspired a lot of real life love stories as well. But does it stand true in the current scenario? Can we really be happy and peaceful after realizing that there are hardly 500 bucks left in your account for the entire month? Does the love still remain?

Remembering Friends!!!

It was an unusual lazy Sunday today. Completed the usual household work and then there I was… All alone, sitting idle and thinking what to do next…
Suddenly an idea popped up. Started looking for the contact number of friends who have not been on my calling list for more than a year now.  Soon after I realized that a lot of them had changed their numbers already and I may not be able to contact them forever. This led me to a series of thoughts and I recalled the days when THESE friends had been everything to me.
A lot of us make hundreds of friends during the course of our life. But, as we climb up the stairs of our career, we keep losing them. Only those who stand the test of time remain friends forever. During my college days, even I had made a bunch of friends. On the day of Farewell, we all promised to keep in touch with each other. We managed to keep our promise at least for the first 3 months. Then, the calls became less frequent. Thanks to the social networking sites, the calls disappeared. Instead, we started either pinging or leaving a message on their profiles. And then, we got busier and eventually lost touch with each other. I know a lot of us have the same feeling. But, I fail to realize that why don’t we take the same enthusiasm that is there for building new relationships to save the older ones.  How can we forget that these are the people who were there with us when we were NOBODY?
Anyways, I have decided that somehow, I am going get in touch with all those dear ones who have disappeared from my life due to unknown reasons and would try to revive my relationship with them at least once from my side.

Let me know if you share the same feelings and would try to search for them at least once now.
